Inspired by real life stories of San Francisco Bay Area teens, A Place to Belong follows a day in the life of a group of youth as they navigate the effects of gentrification, LGBTQIA+ intolerance, and systemic discrimination in the Bay Area. Taking us from the streets of Oakland, to the murals of San Francisco's Mission District, to the busking dance crews on BART trains, this work addresses what it means to feel like you don’t belong in a place you call home.
