A lip sync passion project by Kairo Chin and Adelina Rocha.

We are two queer and POC students at UCSC who are passionate about creating a creative community. We have been craving to participate in a performance that excites us as artists and as humans. A place where we can reconnect with the original reasons we wanted to be in the art industry. We both had loving and fulfilling experiences working on lip sync-based shows and want give that energy to the students of UCSC, particularly highlighting queer students of color who we always wished we saw more of. 
We know that we are not the only students who struggle with intersectionality and have been hurt by queer communities for not including perspectives of those of color or by BIPOC communities for not including trans and queer perspectives. This needs to change, and we will not accept that this is how things have to be – so we took it into our own hands! We are passionate and professional creatives who are lovers of everyone! We promise to bring this love and care into Supernova Sync!
