Cody Renard Richards Scholarship
The CRR Scholarship Program was founded in 2020 by Cody Renard Richard in partnership with Broadway Advocacy Coalition. The program seeks to build a bridge into the industry for the next generation of theatre-makers of color working behind the scenes. 2023 Cohort of Scholars.
University of the Future, Now! Grant
The University of the Future Now! grants come from Dean Shimizu’s own start-up funds and they are $3000 grants for students to work on re-imagining and re-making our institution of higher education. These grants encourage our students to participate in the division’s aspirations to lead the nation in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) through the arts. 2023 Awardee for "Supernova Sync".
Priscilla Newton Undergraduate Scholarship in Theater Arts
Founded in 1991, the Priscilla Newton Theater Arts Scholarship is a merit and financial need based award, given annually to an undergraduate student showing great promise and theatrical performance abilities. 2024 Awardee.
Dean's Award
UCSC's Deans' Awards are granted to 50 of the most outstanding undergraduate research theses or projects completed during the current academic year, 10 from each of the academic divisions. 2024 winner in the Arts Division for "Clyde's".
Chancellor's Award
UCSC's Chancellor's Awards are granted to the the top three Deans' Awards projects in each academic division.
